Lindsey & Dan

Our first wedding of the 2019 season, Lindsey and Dan got married on June 2 in beautiful York, Maine!

Neither Kristie nor I had ever been there, and we’ve definitely made plans since to come back for a day trip with Miles in tow. It’s a beautiful, charming seaside town and home to the Cape Neddick Lighthouse (a.k.a. Nubble Light), which is Maine’s most-photographed lighthouse (and, I heard, the most photographed lighthouse in the world?). Either way, it’s such a gorgeous cool rocky spot! And it’s where Lindsey and Dan had their emotional first look, along with a few incredibly cute trolley rides. (PS - Don’t think it’s an accident that the trolley matches Lindsey’s flowers! That was on purpose and it only makes me love her more!)

Lindsey wore her mother’s veil, and had a really special first look with her dad. All the kiddos involved in the day were soooo well behaved and, of course, adorable.

It was a misty, rainy morning, but the fog made for such flattering light and dramatic images, I was glad to see it! The rain cleared up just in time for their ceremony at the Stageneck Inn, under an arch built by Lindsey’s father. Their two beloved dogs were in the ceremony too, and guests blew bubbles as Lindsey and Dan walked back down the aisle!

The reception was a non-stop love party. Lindsey and Dan had a beautifully choreographed first dance, and every detail was perfect. (I had to work hard to not dance along while shooting!)

It was such a pleasure working with them to capture their beautiful wedding day (especially in such a breathtaking location)!
